Computer numerical control machining, most commonly referred to simply as CNC machining, makes use of sophisticated computers control tools such as lathes, mills, routers, and grinders to produce highly precise parts and components.

In this process, a custom computer program is created for the specific part to be produced, and the machines are programmed using CNC language, called G-code, which controls specifications such as feed rate, coordination, location, speed, and velocity. CNC machining is suitable for both metal and plastic parts, and offers great versatility for a wide range of applications requiring repetitive, consistent production.

Commonly worked metals include alloy steels, aluminum, brass, bronze alloys, carbon steel, copper, iron, stainless steel, and zinc. Commonly used plastic materials include acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), acetal, acrylic, fiberglass-reinforced plastics, nylon, polyethylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and Teflon™. CNC can also be used for composite materials, fiberglass, and polyester.

Our expert team routinely machines parts to tolerances as low as 5 microns in mass-production jobs, and we can handle a range of order volumes, whether clients require prototypes, low- or high-volume orders, or blanket orders. Lead times are quoted on a job-to-job basis, but rush orders are available as needed.
